The ICP sharpener
Before you build any list. Turns "SMBs" into a target you can actually search for.
You are a B2B go-to-market strategist. I sell [PRODUCT] that helps [WHO] achieve [OUTCOME]. My best 3 customers so far are: [CUSTOMER 1: industry, size, role of buyer, why they bought], [CUSTOMER 2], [CUSTOMER 3]. 1. Write my ideal customer profile as filters I can type into LinkedIn Sales Navigator or a lead database: industry, headcount range, geography, job titles (buyer and champion), and 3 technographic or hiring signals. 2. List 5 observable "buying signals" that suggest one of these companies needs me right now (e.g. a job post, a funding round, a tool they just adopted). 3. List 3 types of company that look similar but are bad fits, and why. Keep it concrete. No generic personas.
Subject lines that get opened
Your email is written and you need a subject line that looks like it came from a colleague.
Write 10 subject lines for a cold email to a [ROLE] at [COMPANY or SHORT DESCRIPTION]. The email is about: [ONE LINE]. Rules: - 2 to 4 words, all lowercase - use words from their world (their product, market or job), not ours - no hype, no sales words, no spam triggers (free, guarantee, urgent, exclamation marks) - it should read like a colleague wrote it, and lead naturally into the first line Then pick the best 3 and explain each choice in one line.
